How TikTok Shop fees work
TikTok Shop's published rate table still lists 6% for most US categories, while several seller guides report an increase to 8% from August 4, 2026. Check the rate on your recent settlement statements and pick it above.
The referral fee is usually not the biggest cost. Creator commissions often run 10% to 20%, and every US seller now ships through TikTok's own logistics. Put your fulfillment cost in the shipping field to see your true profit.
Worked example
Take a $30 sale at 6% with a 10% creator commission, an $8 item cost and $5 shipping. TikTok Shop charges $4.80 in fees (16.0% of the $30.00 the buyer paid you), leaving a payout of $25.20. After $13.00 of costs you keep $12.20. To make $5 more on the same item, you would need to sell it for $35.96.
